Scope and content
Dr Manton’s narrative of what passed between the Lord Keeper and Sir John Baber, in Nov. 1667; and then between them and himself; with a view to reconciliation of the Episcopalian and Presbyterian parties. A quarto sheet roughly written by Manton: ‘The Lord Keeper understanding that Sir John Baber had been imployed (having been ingaged therein by the Bishop of Winchester) in promoting a reconciliation and good agreement between the Episcopall Divines and those commonly called Presbyterians with whome hee had a good acquaintanse’
