The Church reformation desired by the reconcilers! In ten Articles. ‘Written by Richard Baxter one of them who 1660 & 1661 by the Kings Commission, in vaine treated with the Diocesanes for Concord; For the use of Posterity, that they may truly understand what it was which we thought better than the Divisions & dangers & calamities which we desired to prevent: And better than Lying, Perjury, Sacriledge, hatred, hypocrisie, Church Corruption, persecution, debauching of Consciences, & a coalition with the Gallicane, Roman Church. ’ f 170r: ‘The X Articles only are the termes offered for Concord; The Reasons are but to prevent misunderstanding them & left to mens liking or dislike as they see cause.’ f 171r: ‘What Reformation it is that was desired by the Reconcilers for Christian Concord, to avoid Division Persecution & Popery.’
