Baxter’s remarks in answer to fourteen questions ‘on the subject of their last conference’ addressed to ‘Mr. Meade’. Question one ‘Is Christ or the Scripture the word of God?’. In Baxter's hand, in quarto. Includes: ‘Sir Because long speeches are not easily heard with patience nor easily remembered; I write this on the Subject of our last conference: Not to dispute, but so to render a reason of my faith & hope, as you may best understand me.’
