  • Baxter’s own arguments were enlarged and published in his Plain Scripture Proof ( 1651. quarto), which reflects on infants, church-membership and baptism and carried prefaces to the churches at Kidderminster and Bewdley. Henry Danvers, Henry Haggar, William Kaye and John Tombes all replied to it.
