copious reply, to George Lawson, in the controversy upon Baxter’s Aphorismes of Justification. See Lawson’s MS in Vol I art. 9 [= Treatises i, 9]. The two last quoted pages of this MS contain an extract from ‘Keckerman: Systematis Theologici. Liber 1. Caput 8. pagina (mihi) 174.175.’ and a brief index to some of the sheets. At the end is an analytical table, headed by Baxter thus: ‘Heereboordi Tabula Necessitatis (Sed Imperfecta.)’

  • Systema S. S. Theologiæ, Tribvs Libris adornatum. Methodum ac Dispositione[m] operis Tabvla præfixa adumbrat. Cum indice rerum & verborum locupletissimo written by the Calvinist scholar, Bartholomew Keckermann (1571-1609), was published in Hanover in 1602. A number of Keckermann’s other works were published in London and Oxford between 1606 and 1661. These included editions of a translation into English by Thomas Vicars (1589–1638), entitled Heavenly Knowledge (1622).
